Jurnal Studi Agama dan Masyarakat (JSAM) is an academic journal, publishing two issues per year (June and December). JSAM is published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat of Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Palangka Raya, Indonesia. This journal seeks to provide a venue for sharing new empirical research and theoretical analysis of intersections between religion and societies. JSAM publishes original works that contribute to scientific discussion of the relationship between Islam and societies. The journal’s primary focus is on contemporary issues of Islam and culture, politics, economics, law, communication, and history within Indonesian contexts such as local wisdom, multiculturalism and pluralism. However, works on the issues of world religions and global societies are welcome.

Abstract

Everything that mediates learning is it in the form of objects, people, environments, or experiences that contain the value of learning and to stimulate the studets for learning, include, learning media. State Museum "Balanga" in Kota Palangka Raya, the capital of the Province of Central Kalimantan is one of the media that can be used for the importance of learning by the students. The museum seems to have been used, but if viewed in terms of intensity and volumes as well as visitors are not yet up as expected. It can be seen from the intensity and the number of visitors who are still relatively few and visitors who come to the museum, many of them just simply for recreation and streets not only in order to study activity.

Abstract

Pesantren is Islamic institution of formal education first and oldest in Indonesia, which still exists and continues to grow today in terms of both quantity and quality. Pesantren is typical of Indonesian Islamic formal educational institution, because in the Islamic world cannot be found anywhere other than the Indonesian educational institution called the pesantren or Islamic boarding schools. However, there are two opinions that develop on the origin of boarding, the first opinion states that the origin of the word and the education system is derived from the Hindu-Buddhist, the second opinion states that although it is recognized that the term boarding is not at all found in the terminology of Islam (Arabic), however, the model or the system of education comes from Islam itself.In institutional, pesantren growth since before independence until today many experienced tides. In the Dutch colonial era to the independence of many boarding schools suffered a setback due to government policies that are less profitable existence as an educational institution of Islamic boarding schools. Today, boarding back up to adjuste the system and the curriculum with the development of times, science and technology, hence boarding is quite appealing to some Muslim communities not only from within the country, but also abroad.

Abstract

The success of the learning process is influenced by various factors, one of which is a method of learning such as teaching methods appropriate concept map and used in accordance with the proportions. Also, critical thinking and creative thinking of students participate in providing considerable influence on academic achievement. The three aspects of both methods of learning concept map and critical thinking and creative thinking of students is less teacher attention so that learning is less fun. This study aims to find out how much the application of concept maps method can improve the ability of critical thinking and creative thinking of students in elementary social studies learning. To find out the answer to the problem in this study, the researcher who seeks information in the field of data processing based on data obtained can be explained that, the application of the method can improve the concept map ability critical thinking and creative thinking of students in primary school.Based on these results, it can be argued that the application of learning methods suggestion concept map can be used by teachers as one of the alternative methods of teaching social studies in primary school, specifically, on the subject of the economy and society can be used by other researchers to look at aspects of upgrading skills or skills other scientific as critical thinking and creative thinking of students.

Abstract

Sebagaimana diketahui oleh khalayak bahwa Indonesia mempunyai beragam bahasa daerah yang kaya dengan dialek. Dialek tersebut dapat memperkenalkan komunitas yang mendiami daerah tertentu, seperti halnya dialek bahasa Jawa, kepada masyarakat luas. Tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan ragam dialek bahasa Jawa serta untuk menemukan ragam dialek bahasa Jawa yang hampir punah di daerah Kabupaten Lamongan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Pendekatan kualitatif diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ragam dialek bahasa Jawa yang dipakai untuk komunikasi oleh komunitas tersebut dapat dikategorikan ke dalam (1) ragam kata meliputi ragam diksi, (2) ragam pengucapan dan intonasi dalam kelompok kalimat positif, negatif, pertanyaan dan perintah, dan (3) ragam kalimat yang diidentifikasi dari struktur kata,  dalam dua kategori– struktur kata sederhana dengan satu suku kata dan dua atau lebih suku kata, dan struktur kata bentukan dari imbuhan, reduplikasi dan kombinasi–dan kompleksitas kalimat yang memenuhi tiga tipe yaitu kalimat sederhana yang dimodifikasi, kalimat majemuk, dan kalimat majemuk bertingkat. Selain itu, ragam kata dialek bahasa Jawa yang hampir punah dikategorikan ke dalam ragam pengucapan dan intonasi, dan ragam kalimat.

Abstract

Law and the rural area people, is a kind of study on law and economy of a community of Saka fishermen at Tumbang Nusa Central Kalimantan. The community of fishermen depends on several numbers of small branch rivers (Saka) as place for looking for fish. Tumbang Nusa is an area in which the community as lower income. This satellite area has not been handled by the government adequately. One of the alternative solutions is the availability of the protection of law which functions effectively. Consequently, the poverty eradication can be done well based on the mandate of the constitution of Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

في تعلم اللغات، إن لدي الطلاب إستراتيجيات مختلفة ليكونوا يحصلون على أهداف التعلم بسهولة وسرعة وسرور. بمعرفة استراتيجيات التعلم، يمكن مدرسي اللغة  تطوير استراتيجيات التعليم أساسا على إستراتيجيات التعلم عند الطلاب. ولذلك يقام البحث بأسئلته: كيف إستراتيجيات تعلم  اللغة التي يقوم بها طلاب شعبة تربية اللغة العربية في الجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية ببالنكا ريا. يهدف هذاالبحث لمعرفة إستراتيجيات تعلم  اللغة التي يقوم بها طلاب شعبة تربية اللغة العربية في الجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية ببالنكا ريا.يستخدم هذا البحث مدخل البحث الكمي. عينات البحث هي طلاب شعبة تربية اللغة العربية في الجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية ببالنكا ريا بعدد 16 شخصا. تحلل البيانات كميا لمعرفة مائوية إستراتيجيات التعلم.نتيجة البحث تدل على أن طلاب شعبة تربية اللغة العربية يستخدمون إستراتيجيات تعلم اللغة المختلفة وهي إستراتيجية التحفيظ بمعدل 24،3في المحل المتوسط،  وإستراتيجية المعرفة بمعدل 13،3 في المحل المتوسط، و وإستراتيجية  بمعدل 02،3 في المحل المتوسط،  وإستراتيجية خارج المعرفة بمعدل 83،3 في المحل المرتفع، وإستراتيجية السلوك بمعدل 59،3 في المحل المرتفع، وإستراتيجية الاجتماع بمعدل 37،3 في المحل المتوسط. وكانت إستراتيجية خارج المعرفة   في محل أرفع  بمعدل 83،3. إجمالا، إستراتيجية تعلم اللغة التي يقوم بها الطلاب  تكون في المحل المتوسط  بمعدل 37،3. وهذا يدل على أن طلاب شعبة تربية اللغة العربية في الجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية ببالنكا ريا لهم عدة الإستراتيجيات في تعلم اللغة العربية.

Abstract

This study is to explore the people’ perceptions about the Dayaknese women reproduction health myth and gender relation that is related to women Dayaknese health in Palangkaraya. This study used descriptive qualitative type. To take sample of this study was done by random sampling. The population target of this study were choosen by using special selection that of the subject of this study were the inhabitant who lives in Palangka Raya without using gender discriminated.  The mythes which are related to dayaknese women reproduction health showed that there were some related construction to social and cultural which were full gender imbalances. If they are related to the myth, so the distinction system between woman and man are constructed to some mythes. The above mythes declared that the real constructions were from the way of men to think, so it showed that the wowen had restrictiveness to make action in their daily life.  The above mythes declared that the pregnant woman should not sew the cloth, go fishing, sit with the legs crossed, should use rings in her anklet, should abstain to eat some food. It showed that the systems of men thoughts were to delimitate of women actions. The main positive of this study showed the most respondents have got the different perception to this myth of this time. The responses of respondents considered that the mythes were not significant anymore at the present time. The perceptions of respondents came out like this because there are some changes to the way of thinking and their educational level are more and more getting better. Besides that, the old generations had not informed anymore about mythes to their children, with the result that there are some young generation did not know about mythes.
